About GOOD Hoops Club

What is GOOD Hoops Club?
GOOD Hoops Club is a Canada Basketball Verified not-for-profit youth basketball program based in Edmonton, Alberta. Since 2017, we’ve provided leagues, skills training, camps, and competitive teams for boys and girls ages 5–18, with a focus on player development, teamwork, and long-term growth.

Where are your programs held?
Our programs are hosted at top facilities throughout the Greater Edmonton Area, with the Edmonton Sports Centre as our primary location. We also partner with other gyms to make our programs accessible across the region.

Registration & Programs

How do I register my child?
Visit the Programs page on our website, choose the league, training, or camp you’re interested in, and follow the online registration process.

Do players need to try out to join?
Most leagues and training programs are open registration. Our club teams, circuit teams, and certain high-performance training programs require tryouts or invitations.

What age groups do you serve?
We offer programs for boys and girls ages 5–18, grouped by skill and competition level to create the best development environment.

Do you have beginner programs?
Yes. We have beginner-friendly leagues and training sessions focused on building fundamentals, confidence, and enjoyment of the game.

Coaching & Development

Who are your coaches?
All coaches are experienced, trained, and Canada Basketball Certified, committed to creating a positive, challenging, and safe environment for players. We do have apprentice coaches that are working to get their certifications and develop as coaches as well.

What is your player development philosophy?
We follow Canada Basketball’s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model along with the Constraints Led Approach, focusing on skill progression, basketball IQ, physical literacy, and character development.

Costs & Payments

How much do programs cost?
Fees vary by program type and length. Full pricing is listed on each program page. Payment plans are available.

Do you offer financial assistance?
Yes. We work with Jumpstart, KidSport, and other funding programs to help athletes access opportunities. We also have various fundraising opportunities throughout the season to help reduce the financial burden on families. We are a not-for-profit program.

Games & Events

When and where are games played?
Game schedules vary by program. Most league games are at the Edmonton Sports Centre, with some games at other partner facilities in the Greater Edmonton Area.

Do you travel for tournaments?
Our competitive club and circuit teams participate in local, provincial, and sometimes national events. Travel schedules are shared well in advance.

What equipment is needed?
Players should bring a basketball (size based on age group), proper indoor court shoes, and a water bottle. Some programs require a reversible club jersey.
